NURUL.....Malaysia’s first woman Prime Minister in the future. WAS SHE GRADUATED FROM OXFORD?

NURUL.....Malaysia’s first woman Prime Minister in the future. WAS SHE GRADUATED FROM OXFORD?

An Indian business leader says that while she has the potential to rise to the pinnacle of power, Nurul, however, must be bold enough to step out of her father's shadow.

KUALA LUMPUR: The future of Pakatan Rakyat hinges on its young leaders, who should be groomed to ensure that Malaysians continue to have a formidable and sound alternative.

In expressing this view, Malaysian Indian Business Association (Miba) president P Sivakumar singled out PKR vice-president and Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar.

He believes that Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim’s eldest child, now a 31-year-old mother of two, is made up of the right ingredients to steer the nation forward.

Despite her young age, Nurul had also managed to garner an enviable support-base within PKR, both here and in East Malaysia.

“She is a steely woman who has been forced to deal with situations well beyond her age since her father was sacked and jailed in 1998.

“She speaks the right language, with words like justice, freedom, democracy, equality and human rights. She voices for the weak and oppressed regardless of race, and mingles well with everyone.

“Nurul has the potential to rise up the ranks, perhaps to even become Malaysia’s first woman prime minister in the future,” he said.

Sivakumar also noted that Pakatan, like any other political coalition, was confronted with internal problems and its supremo Anwar’s reputation had been battered due to a slew of reasons.

I am afraid that the only obstacle to huge responsibility for Nurul is the perception that she is where she is because of her father (and mother). As far as Nurul is concerned, she has proven quite well that she has the gut and brain to face the UMNO's pathetic goons. More so she is only 31. But don't you UMNO goons take her for granted. If you do, you will fall flat on your pathetic faces. Also, let's hope that those undesirable elements within PKR (you know who I am talking about) don't sabotage her out of jealousy and greed. ..

Totally in agreement with your statement, Sivakumar.

Just pray that her inner circle of supporters will not fail her and fall to temptations or inducement by the ruling party to betray her. They must have a similar conviction to carry out bold reforms to save the country from further abuses by the ruling elites!!! ...

Yes, I agree with Sivakumar. I believe many Malaysians have been monitoring her progress and based on what we see so far, we believe she has all the right stuff that will make her a great leader. What is more important is that she is not "corrupted", she is young, she is old enough, she has been well exposed considering her dad and mum are in politic and most importantly what she stood for.

Frankly even at this tender age, I would have prefer her over every single UMNO and PKR leaders including Anwar and Najib. Just a few days ago, I was listening to her interview in the radio 899 and was impressed with her frankness and the manner she replied to those questions. Let pray for her good health and not very far in future, we will be fortunate to have her as our PM. ...

Agree with every word - from the first word to the last word - written in this article. A proof that beauty and brain do go together is evident here.
