Dr ISMAIL ABY JAMAL has diversified and varied experiences in HRM and HRD practices after more than a quarter century being exposed to the banking, finance, insurance, construction (infrastructure, highway construction and heavy engineering), transportation and haulage, manufacturing (MNC) and marine industries (Shipbuilding and Ship-repair). He was also immensely exposed to unionized and non-unionized industrial relations’ environments, plus governmental relations. In the education industry, he had conducted lectures and courses (first degree and MBA levels for University of East London, University of Southern Queensland, American Degree Programs, etc.) in varous other established private university-colleges and higher learning institutions. He had presented papers in local and international conferences, and managed consulting assignments in established organizations. He has championed, participated, implemented and internalized HR initiatives such as Global HR Transformation, Organizational Climatic Survey, Strategic HRD Planning, Talent Management and Succession Planning, Strategic HRP Workshops, Performance Improvement Program (PIP) for Managers, Employer of Choice, HR for Non-HR Managers, High-impact Leadership Workshops, Effective Supervisory Development Programs, Executive Development Programs, Leadership and Teambuilding Workshops, Performance Management and KPIs’ Linkage, Profiling and Job Matching, Change Management, Six-Sigma Green-Belt Program, Managing Effective Meetings for Senior Management, Supply Chain Management, SAP R/3 HR Module and other HR Reengineering management programs and processes. An associate trainer and facilitator for a Malaysian petroleum conglomerate and other leading GLCs. He has strong convictions in conducting, managing and applying HRD concepts and models using “scientific management” methodology in experiential learning and self-actualizing approach.
